Let’s behave and leave happily ever after

We all have got a lot of pet peeves. The biggest pet peeve though, is the lack of manners in today’s society.

I’m not an old fart who’s longing for the old days. I’m just your average, run of the mill 25 year old single and working woman, who is sick and bloody tired of the rudeness see every single day!!!

In the city where I live, the largest group of people who need a lesson in manners!!! We’ve got everyone from teenagers to seniors who refuse to live life happily with each other. It’s a city of robots who just love to earn more and more money. Men and women alike seem to have lost the ability to smile at one another in passing.

In light of this, I would like to offer a few quick tips for when you decide to venture out into the public and grace us with your presence.

1) The most important words in our dictionary are: Please, Thank You, You’re Welcome, Excuse Me (or Pardon Me) and I’m Sorry.

2) When you are walking on the sidewalk, and cross paths with someone, keep to the right. If there are two or more people walking together, please move into single file. It’s called “Footpath Manner”.

3) No matter what kind of a day you may be having, it does not give you the right to treat other people like crap. Paste a smile on your face and remember rule one.

4) People still do appreciate having the door held open for them. Try it – you may find the response you get could brighten up your own day!

5) The world is not your trash can. Among other things, nobody is interested in seeing your empty bottles, unused papers, banana skins, plastic bags, etc on the street.

6) Above all, remember that we are all here together for whatever time we may have. Treat each other (and our world) with the respect and dignity deserved by each. You may surprise at the positive effect it could have on yourself.

Modeling tips to become successful models

The registration is over in “Anushka Face of 2010″ contest, and now everyone is waiting for voting to start. In the mean time, here are some few modeling tips for budding models who want to shine in the glamour world.

Here we’ve tried to list all those small experiences that have piled up like fungus at the modeling desks over the years. Most experiences are simple things that you can utilize right away and will save you lots of time avoiding simple mistakes and making modeling much more fun and easy.

First and foremost…without modeling poses and modeling tips, you can’t make it to the top.

Breathe: Do not hold your breath for a modeling pose; always remember to breathe and appear at ease.

Posture: Bad posture is an unrecognized flaw in many people. However, for models, posture is a harmful flaw. Always remember to keep your back straight and your shoulders up. In addition to your back and shoulders, always remember to flex your stomach muscles.

Limbs: Symmetry is officially out in the modeling world. When posing, make sure to differentiate your arms and legs with asymmetrical poses. Make the modeling pose look more real, less artificial. Continue the asymmetry to your legs. If one leg is locked straight, give the other leg a casual bend.

Camera: Although the camera is the ultimate focal point of a modeling photo shoot, great models do not look directly into the camera. To enhance the quality of your photo shoot, look away from the camera with a mix of head and eye poses. Head and eye positions, coupled with personable facial expressions make for great model poses.

Smile: If you have a naturally beautiful smile—show your pearly whites with pride, just not every time. If you smile in each modeling pose, it will show your lack of versatility. To add variety to your modeling poses, try switching up your smile with a cute frown, a bratty bout, a friendly laugh, or even an edgy scowl. Your facial expressions can make or break your modeling poses. Let your smile show, but make sure to show what else you can do.

Movement: The movement pose captures a specific action, such as running or jumping. Each model must be able to smile and laugh when using the products in the photo shoot.

Portrait: This modeling pose emphasizes the face of the model—and relies purely on facial features. The model will be in modest makeup and relaxed hair and should pose with a casual, genuine smile. Pay extra attention to your skin and drink at least 8-12 glasses of water a day.

Body: Models are encouraged to shift weight between hips and make arms and lengths into asymmetrical stances. Although many body poses do not require specific facial expressions, putting your entire body into character during full-length poses helps your body find a natural balance.

So next time, don’t forget this above mentioned points. Focus on your posture, attitude, and facial expressions to succeed beyond your wildest expectations.

Nintendo 3DS: The Details

Nintendo 3DS: The Details

Nintendo 3DS: The Details

Nintendo Japan has announced that they will present the newest portable console, the Nintendo 3DS, in June. The new handheld will offer 3D viewing without glasses. Here’s all the information gathered so far:

• With the announcement slated for E3 in June, Nintendo’s shooting a bit early in their Japanese press release by saying it will go on sale sometime between April 2010 – March 2011.

• You won’t need to wear 3D glasses to enjoy the 3D effects. This may work like Rittai Kakushi e Attakoreda, the Nintendo DSi game that uses the frontal camera to track the viewer eyes. By tracking the user’s eyes—a trick first shown by Johnny Chung Lee’s Wii hack—the machine can alter the perspective in the game to make it look as if the player is looking into a 3D virtual space.

• It’s unclear if this would be the only 3D element in the console.

• Backwards compatibility will be incorporated for DS and DSi games support.

• It may have an accelerometer for tilt-controls with motion-led gaming, just like the iPhone/iPod Touch.

• The screen might be higher-res than anything we’ve seen from Nintendo before, maybe reaching 720p—and measuring around the same size as the DS.

• It’ll have two screens just like previous portables, but they’ll be used in conjunction as one giant screen, according to RPAD.tv, who convinced developers to talk to them at GDC.

• A Tegra chip could be powering it.

• Nintendo might put a 3G sim in, for over-the-air downloads.

• Those over-the-air downloads might include ebooks, something already seen on the DSi XL.

.

UPDATE

• It’ll include two cameras (one backwards-facing, one forward-facing), just like the DSi—for DSi backwards compatibility support.

• The Japanese publication Asahi is claiming it’ll use one of Sharp’s parallax barrier LCDs.

• 3D control sticks may help with gaming, if Nikkei’s report is correct, and the 3DS itself could vibrate like an old Rumble Pak.

A robot can be your life partner

.

The future is not written yet and who knows weather robots are dangerous or not. What is for sure is that humans, being the curious beings, will develop new advanced generations of robots.

.

Robots and other high-performance inventions have always been of a vast interest for humanity. A great number of scientists have spent the whole life in their laboratories with one aim to work out innovative schemes, develop them and create some highest qualitative ranking robot.

..

This engrossing process has reached its peak with the technical push that took place due to the endeavors of a number of brilliant and clear intellects of scientists all over the world.

..

The most striking fantasies in this sphere are brought successfully into reality and a great number of robots are in service of people in order to make the process of work or manufacturing automatic. It happens so that people and robots go together in this life side by side, in some spheres of life they are even interchangeable and who knows into what this opposition “Human and Robots” will translate.

.

There are two perceivable outcomes.

..

Robots and humans that live and prosper together or robots realize they don’t need as that much. For now it is up to our fantasy to express what we think will happen in human-robot relations in the future…

.

When there is the opposition of the mechanical creature and the human intellect it is not easy to predict the outcome of the game. You can make books, but you will never be sure about the results, they are unpredictable.

..

In the process of the humming work robots can be of a great use for people. With them less time would be spend for the most complicated tasks and the crunch times would take place not so often.

.

We all are waiting for the future now…

Super cool Massow concept bikes

The iconic Jaguar moulds used to stand proudly on top of every Jaguar Car dealership as a symbol of quality and sophistication. By chance, one of the Massow designs was based on the old Jaguar logo.

So with the Jaguar in mind, Barend set about transforming his paper vision into a working reality. 3 years later, with expert help from Polar Cycles, the Jaguar motorbike was finally completed and Massow Concept Cycles was founded.

The Jaguar Motorcycle had its debut in 2008 at the Bulldog Biker Bash in Swindon UK and has since received much attention worldwide having.

His collection of drawings takes in the likes of Audi, Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Coke Cola and many more. Currently with the London Olympics on their way, his Hybrid Electric version will also come to fruition.

The latest edition to form part of the collection is designed to represent a Charging Bull.

Although the initial idea was to have the coachwork formed from chrome-plated copper, this notion was later dropped as a weight-saving measure. It was then a case of detailing the unique machine through embellishment of the distinctive Buell rolling stock and fitment of custom seat cover in stingray hide, custom exhausts, custom foot and hand controls, wiring loom, multi-coloured neon lighting, etc.

The intimidating jungle cat’s head cleverly incorporates a headlamp along with a quartet of magnetic mandibles that can be readily removed should circumstances dictate.

Copious coats of glossy black lacquer paint provide a classy finish to the 3-year project.
