German rock band, Scorpions to end career
This news came as a shocker for all the music lovers around the world when famous German rock band Scorpions decided to bringing down the curtain of their four decades of unstoppable glorious career. They wanted to end their extraordinary career on a high note.
The band declared on their website that they have finally agreed to end their musical journey. Scorpions is best known for their 1980s rock anthem “Rock You Like a Hurricane” and their singles “No One Like You”, “Send Me an Angel, “Still Loving You”, and “Wind of Change”. The group announced that they will release a final album – Sting in the Tail – in March before embarking on a farewell tour. The final tour will start in Germany in May, and take it across the world over the next few years.
The band was founded by guitarist Rudolf Schenker, 61, in 1965 in Hanover. In 1970 the working-class town of Hannover, Germany, was decidedly not a bastion of rock and roll music. But Klaus Meine and brothers Rudolf and Michael Schenker changed the way the world perceived Hannover–and even the rest of Germany. As originators of the hard rock band the Scorpions, the trio created Top Ten hits and generated worldwide attention through both their musical talent and controversial album covers. Scorpions have released more than 20 albums since they started out.
Despite their longevity in the rock world, the Scorpions have always vowed not to be satisfied with their past accomplishments. Their motto was “This is still a band of today, not a nostalgic trip. We still have a lot to achieve.”

Metallica…My All Time Favourite Band!
Metallica is the best Band ever! My all time favourite… 
This American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1981. Metallica has become one of the most commercially successful musical acts of recent decades, and are considered one of the “Big Four” pioneers of thrash metal, along with Anthrax, Slayer, and Megadeth. The band has sold more than 90 million records worldwide, including 57 million albums in the United States alone. It is considered one of the most well-known metal bands ever.
I was never a Hard Rock (Heavy Metal) fan…But all thanks to Metallica which helped me to glue towards this genre of music. Nobody can deny that Metallica has proved to be the best in the business…the best heavy metal band of all time. Every hard rock/heavy metal band is influenced by them. They are great in every aspect… metal isn’t their only genre… nothing else matter and fade to black…love the acoustic parts also. I salute this legendary band. I think Metallica just got to a level where they automatically recognized as ‘Father of Heavy Metal Bands’.
Metallica cannot be stopped. They started in the early 80’s and they are still cranking out the albums. 9 incredible albums from ‘83-’10 and hope few more on their way. I mean they are an unstoppable machine. People say they’re not as good as they used to be calling St Anger a bad album, sure it’s not… And Justice for All, but it’s definitely one of the top 10 best album from this decade. Their best songs have to be “One” and “Whiskey in the Jar”. Metallica was ranked by MTV as the third “Greatest Heavy Metal Band in History”. It is the most commercially successful thrash metal band till date. HAIL METALLICA!!!
