Ricky Martin is proud to be a gay!
‘Puerto Rican’ popstar Ricky Martin, who fathered two children with a surrogate mother two years ago, has finally put an end to the speculation over his sexuality by admitting that he is gay. After years of keeping quiet about his personal life, pop star Ricky Martin has announced this in his website.
He said that he had kept his sexuality hidden so far because his advisers had told him coming out could hurt his career. Ricky also said writing his memoir and thinking about his two twin sons led him to go public. Though the 38-year-old kept his sexuality private throughout most of his career, Ricky said he drew strength from that time.
Now, Ricky Martin has confirmed his longtime gay rumors on his official website. The pop singer writes, “I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am. Today, I have accepted my homosexuality as a gift that gives me life.”
Martin, 38, told his fans that his decision to divulge his sexual orientation was an amazing turning point in his life and it started a few months ago when he began the process of writing his memoirs. He says that his decision to write his memoirs had helped him to free “things that were too heavy to keep inside”.

Abba, Lionel Ritchie to perform at IPL opening ceremony

Usher claims he had $1 million in jewellery stolen from car
R&B star Usher claims he had $1 million of jewellery stolen from his car – as well as laptops containing the only copies of new tracks he was working on.
The star claims someone broke into his GMC Yukon SUV while he was Christmas shopping in Atlanta, Georgia.
He says he lost $1,000,000 in jewellery, $50,000 in furs and $16,700 in electronic goods.
But he told police he was most upset about the loss of two laptops as they contained the only versions of vocal tracks that have never been heard before.
A witness said they saw a Chevy Impala with tinted windows drive up next to the SUV. The witness told police a man got out of the Impala and popped open the door to the SUV.
The incident is still under investigation. No CCTV cameras captured the reported break-in.
