Winning Tips

• * Ensure you record yourself in a quiet place - otherwise your recording might just be drowned out.
• * Pick the best angle to place your camera at. Choose a safe position from where everything can be recorded clearly.
• * Do take care to rehearse your performance before you record it!
• * Don't use scripts in the video - memorize lines.
• * Relax, do as many re-recordings as you need to and send the best one in.
• * Look at overall effect - use appropriate costumes and settings. Remember, you're selling yourself, so you might as well do it properly.
• * Don't forget to upload the video in the right format.
• * Last but not the least, PROMOTE your video. Ask your friends and family to vote for you in large numbers. At the end the winners are the ones who get the maximum votes.

How To Vote

• * Only the registered users of Desitara.com are eligible to vote.
• * Users can vote for their favorite contestants once in every 24 hours.
• * Users have to rate the contestants with "Super Cool", "Cool" and "Not Cool" section.
• * "Super Cool" holds 5 points, "Cool" 3 points and "Not Cool" has -1 point.

Rules & Regulations

• * "Upload a funny video" contest is open to all the registered users of Desitara.com. There will be two winners.
• * No entry fee required.
• * To participate, contestants need to upload minimum one video on Desitara.com.
• * Desitara.com reserves the right not to select entries it receives.
• * By entering you allow us to post your entry, name and photograph on the Desitara.com.
• * Participants must include your name, city and state.
• * Desitara.com reserves the right to remove or disqualify any entry at any time at its discretion.
• * By entering in the contest as user or contestant you grant permission to the organizing team to post your photographs and names in all media related to the event.
• * Desitara.com assumes no responsibility for possible fraud committed by any contestant or users and cannot be held liable for actions on the part of the users. The organizer reserves the right to remove or disqualify any entry at any time at its discretion.
• * By entering in this contest, all contestants must affirm to have read and agree to abide by the terms and conditions, the official contest rules, and the decisions of the judges.
• * Desitara.com reserves the right to modify these rules and regulations at any time, at its discretion, and without notice. It also reserves the right to disqualify any contestant acting in violation of the official rules or found tampering with the entry process, the operation of the contest, or the website.
• * The user retains the rights to all of his or her media, and by submitting, grants permission to Desitara.com to display or use in any promotional material.
• * Regardless of performance, all contestants are eligible for only one (1) prize.
• * Winner will be contacted by Desitara.com via email. Winners must respond to the message within a period of fourteen (14) days.
• * Winner may be required to submit proof of identity in order to obtain their prize(s). If a winner fails to respond within fourteen (14) days, is unable to provide proof of identity, or is discovered to have violated any of the contest's rules, the prize will be forfeited and instead awarded to the highest runner-up.
